Dr. Valérie Anglès received her Phd in Management from Université de la Méditerranée, LEST in 2008, after having obtained a MPhil in Economy and Sociology of Labour at LEST (Laboratoire d’Economie et Sociologie du Travail). She previously obtained Master degrees in Ethnology from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, EHESS Paris (1998) and in Management from ESC Marseille (1989). She is a permanent member of the faculty of Euromed specialized in International Management since 1992 .
Professor Anglès has published several chapters in books in the fields of International Management dealing with the use of universal management tools in different cultural contexts (especially in European MNCs’ subsidiaries settled in China) and a number of case studies published at the CCMP (Centrale des Cas et des Médias Pégagogiques), Paris, dealing with international marketing and international business administration issues in SMEs.
Professor Anglès has been a visiting teacher in Andrès Bello, Santiago (2005), Chile, in Tampa University Florida (1999) and in University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, China (1998).
She bases her courses and research on a strong vocational experience of 15 years in the field of international business as the export manager of several French SMEs and as the European manager of a Chinese company. She has acquired an expertise on the Chinese way of Management.
