SALES ENGINEER - JOHN DEERE:
1. Project management: working with direct accounts for applying engines from initial design concept through to application review approval. Generally, it will be for the medium size OEMs where little base engine work is required .

2. Customer acquisition: acts as technical expert to help sales people acquire new accounts. Where a customer is not using JD already, our ability to demonstrate our technical support capability is often vital to show our true value.

3. Distributor support. Provides expertise to distributors to help them acquire customers and once acquired to apply engines correctly. Distributors are on the front line with their customers, the sales engineers provide support and approve application reviews.

4. Distributor development: Assesses distributor technical capability using scorecard tool and drives distributor to close gaps.

5. Sales arguement development: Helps marketing to explain how technical features are saleable customer benefits.
