FPSO ICSS Lead Engineer
This ICSS centralized process control system, safety systems and supervision (operator interface) functions on the FPSO. All main ICSS equipments are located either in the FPSO living quarter area or the instrumentation and electrical rooms.
ICSS combines the Process control and Safety control systems in an industrial facility, used to control a continuous or batch-oriented process, and is directly linked to the instrumentation and control system discipline.
The process control system enables continuous control and monitoring of all operations on the FPSO. The safety system ensures the process safety functionality, the emergency shutdowns and the fire and gas monitoring and shutdown.
Within this activity, we have to ensure a proper ICSS design for the FPSO and that the ICSS package will be delivered on time, and in compliance with the technical specifications and requirements of the project.
Main activities are to assist in identifying project risks and implement agreed mitigation, provide guidance and input to Contractor, ensure good coordination, lead the interfaces with the different packages, review design, specifications, strategies and procedures with respect to ICSS requirements and standards for design. The follow-up of the ICSS contractor from the engineering, procurement and construction activities to the installation offshore and pre-commissioning.
