  • Becton Dickinson - Demand & Pricing Manager

    Le Pont de Claix 2008 - maintenant • Managed the Demand Team for a business of more than $600m revenue.
    • Re-worked processes and designed new reporting systems, improving financial and volumetric forecasts and indicators.
    • Drove a price increase initiatives that kept average prices flat in an increasingly competitive and aggressive market.
    • Implemented a new governance process, involving marketing and quality to insure that quotes to customers reflect our product and pricing strategy.
  • Cable & Wireless - Finance Partner, Voice & Data Platforms

    2007 - 2008 • Managed on top of my prior role the Voice and Data Platforms with a budget of circa £90m opex.
    • Determined that the current reporting was inadequate and misrepresented performance. Drove the core finance team towards better processes and outputs.
    • Enforced governance for opex and capex spends, making sure that only valid deals go through. Assisted teams in improving the financials of their business cases.
    • Worked on various reorganizations and outsource plans.
    • Created a link between the margin and opex reporting to get better insight on product profitability and drive appropriate actions.
  • Cable & Wireless - Finance Partner, International Voice Business

    2005 - 2008 • Determined the need for a finance partner role managing International Voice and convinced the Commercial Finance Director to create it.
    • Held this role simultaneously with my prior one for a year.
    • Supported a £300m revenue / £40m margin line of business.
    • Canvassed and led the design for new reporting and analysis tools.
    • Determined major Ebitda leaks and designed better processes and controls that yielded quick results.
    • Put in place a culture change program through better incentivisation and financial education of the sales and pricing teams.
    • Won the 2006 yearly recognition award for my achievements.
  • Cable & Wireless - Decision Support Manager

    2004 - 2006 • Managed the European Decision Support team, supporting the activities of 12 legal entities in more than 20 countries.
    • Had the responsibility of a circa £200m revenue / £60m margin perimeter.
    • Supported the Europe Commercial Director and his team with ad-hoc analyses and presentations.
    • Worked in close coordination with local finance, sales, pricing, procurement, strategy, legal and HR.
    • Determined that our Ebitda generation was insufficient and co-led a headcount efficiency program over our entire European structure, including my own team.
    • Determined the need to exit our hosting business.
    • Worked on tactical and 5-year strategic plans.
  • Cable & Wireless - Commercial Finance Analyst

    2003 - 2004 • Supported two European Wholesale Regions, assisting sales teams and Regional Managers to hit their targets.
    • Analysed month-end results and explained them to Regional Managers.
    • Built bottom-up (1 year) and top-down (5 years) forecasts and budgets.
    • Developed new analysis and reporting tools under Excel and Access which brought to light inefficient commercial actions and led to corrective actions.
    • Found a major cost leakage and provided management with the needed information to solve it.
    • Managed the governance process for commercial deals and insured that the risk/return profile matched the company strategy.

    Courbevoie 2002 - 2003 • Audited statutory accounts.
    • Analysed processes, controls and risks.
    • Established recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Paribas Affaires Industrielles - Analyste

    2000 - 2001 • Produced the strategic analysis of target companies, covering products, markets, competition, financials and HR aspects.
    • Had the responsibility of screening all deals and selecting the ones that were adequate to our investment strategy.
    • Wrote investment notes to the address of the Executive Comity.
    • Designed financial investment models on Excel.
