    1990 - 1995 Rehabilitation & Turnaround of the privatization of a State own Goldmine concession.
    Achievements :
    - coordinating General Services and all mining activities (extraction connected activities)
    - work-out of a feasibility study to develop a second mining exploitation on site
    (the investment proposition was submitted to a finance holding in Europe and resulted in a joint-venture by the end of 1994 with a French-Australian company, LA SOURCE (BRGM - NORMANDIE POSSEIDON).
    - as GM, I realized an important restructuring project within 6 months
    (the “restructuring” was necessary as well on operational, economical as on HR & social issues - large burden of debts, unpaid wages, overstaffing, lack of motivation, negotiations with the trade unions, … - and since the joint venture with LA SOURCE was finalized … a “healthy” working environment was highly necessary in view of getting the expected investments a.s.a.p. in place, up and running)

    - complete restructuring of the company by outsourcing
    - coordination of a multicultural team (from Ex-Zaire, South-Africa and Europe) for a mining investment project for the ORGAMAN HOLDING in Kinshasa, Ex-Zaire

    Achievements :
    - participation in the orientation of the company’s internal and external politics
    - workout of the necessary investments for a complete restructuring of the operations
    - participation in the negotiation of the take-over of SOTRAF by DELENS in 12/1987

    (+/- 700 locals & 25 Ex-pats / concession surface : +/- 2x Belgium)
    Achievements :
    - maintenance of 2 goldmines, 3 recovery factories, workshops, roads , bridges and the water supply system (collection from wells, pumping stations, storage & distribution)
    - responsible for the warehouses and logistics on the concession
    - interface towards the local Authorities and coordinate the steering meetings including all related reporting matters

    BURUNDI (07/’81 => 12/’83)
    Position : Project Manager at Bujumbura and countryside

    Re-organizing the existing branch as an independent agency/company
    Achievements :
    - recruitment of personnel and set-up of a salary grid (HR department)
    - Project Manager of a road construction site (rough conditions : 2000 m altitude, tropical rains, 450.000 M3 of excavations, road construction and bridges, …)

    Ex-ZAIRE (02/’79 => 06/’81)
    Position : Project Manager at Headquarters in Kinshasa
    Achievements :
    - organization, technical coordination, f.u. and control of various construction sites
    - facility management for the company, housing of agents (45) and offices

    1977 - 1978 Site Engineer in charge of a construction site in Antwerp / Belgium
