Rennes2012 - 2012Assigned to medical research related projects, I worked with physicians and other labs to improve and automate patient selection for clinical trials. The selection process used to be manual, which is extremely slow and tedious.
The output of that effort was a software capable of suggesting a list of eligible patients based on their (often incomplete) medical records. This led to a significant improvement in the team's capability to evaluate a clinical trials feasibility and to react to research opportunities. The tool was able to process in a few minutes what would usually take days for a medical team to achieve.
I was completely autonomous during the project: defining goals, process and dev management as well communication with stakeholders. I reported directly to the lead of the research department.
