En résumé

After I got my Bachelor Diploma in Management, I decided to participate in a 6 months Management Training Program in Front Office Departments offered by Sofitel which is a luxury hotel chain managed by Accor and located in Macau (SAR), in China.
By gaining experience in such dynamic hotel, I was able to learn a lot about Macanese culture and high standards required by the hospitality industry. I have learned a great deal in my first few months from computer programs to various front desk tasks and communication skills. I never felt I was considered as a trainee but as an ambassador of this company. I have learned and developed a lot personally and professionally through my training. I met many guests with different backgrounds and culture and I always kept in mind to provide them a high quality service but also the essence of “plaisir”. It has been a challenging experience which has allowed me to get very involved with this hotel and develop new skills.

I have completed a very comprehensive undergraduate program in Bachelor program in Management in Toulouse. This degree provided me a full overview of the national but also international market and how to manage cultural differences.

This program has prepared me to deal directly with people in an international context thanks to the Erasmus Exchange Program. I had a great opportunity to spend 8 months of my life in a small city called Castellanza next to Milan in Italy. I learned so much from others but more from myself and I realized that I was more resourceful than I thought. With my ability to overcome difficulties and my desires to learn more, I was able to talk easily with people in a different language (English and Italian languages) and to understand cultural differences. I was able to work in team, to be a part of it and to make decisions for the team. I worked with multinationals with different accents and different way of working in a group. I was able to help and advise people when they were in a difficult situation. This experience is without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life not only because I successfully managed cultural differences but because for the first time of my life, I was proud of what I have achieved.

This program has also prepared me to work within companies and to understand what real life is. I had the great pleasure to work with sellers from Lacoste during my internship from June to July 2010. I have been trained to be a reliable and efficient seller by having strong product knowledge and excellent communication skills. But what always made me different compare to the others was my positive behavior in good or bad situation. This is my way to be: never give up even if life can sometimes be unfair and to adapt and better react whatever the situations.

I am currently working with a start-up company called Printissime for my last internship in the Bachelor Program. This company is selling by internet wedding invitations, birth announcements and baptism invitations and so on. For the last few years, the company is succeeding and becoming reputable in France and the manager gave me the responsibility to promote its products abroad and in particular to England. My main task for now is to translate the French website into the English website. This is a difficult but needed exercise because I have to be very precise and strategic to promote the products in the best possible way. I have decided to work for this company for three main reasons. First, I wanted to work with a company in an international context and apply what I have learned in cultural management. Second, I am not afraid of taking responsibility because I think this is the best way to improve rather than watch and learn. Finally, I am excited by challenges because this is in this kind of situation that I mainly success.
All these experiences have taught me one thing: to fulfill my goals and not to be afraid of challenges.
