  Job Description:
  
  * To formulate weld procedure specifications (WPS) and execute welding procedure Qualification tests (PQR) within a diverse range of parent materials (CS, LTCS, SS, DSS, Lean DSS & Super DSS) for above & underground piping & pipeline works, using several types of welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) as per project specifications & international codes & standards (ASME IX, B31.3, B31.8, API1104, AWS D1.1, DNV OS F101).
  * Evaluate project requirements and where applicable provide the necessary welding procedural information in order to cover the project scope (CPF Piping, Storage Tanks, Piping for Tanks, CS Pipeline - Gathering System, DSS Pipeline - Gathering System, Export Pipeline, Steel Structure, Piping Supports, and GRE & GRP).
  * Prepare, review and approve all project's welding, post weld heat treatment and non destructive examinations, steel structure, mechanical equipments erection procedures and/or method statements & Inspection & Test Plan(s) (ITP).
  * Attend performance tests, final inspections and release inspections as required by the agreed Inspection & Test Plan(s) (ITP).
  * Ensure welders are qualified and their WPQ certificates are prepared and maintained in accordance with company control procedures, project specifications codes & standards for piping & pipeline works. ;

  2011 - 2012 * Represent the Company as a Welding Engineer dealing with all project technical issues and ensuring a welding engineering service to the customers is maintained.
  
  * Develop where required, review and approve fabrication, welding & inspection specifications.
  
  * Evaluate project requirements and where applicable provide the necessary welding procedural information in order to cover the project scope.
  
  * Review and prepare engineering requirements regarding material selection on projects.
  
  * Periodically carry out site visits to ensure that welding is being conducted in line with the company welding control procedures.
  
  * Review and approve company welding, post weld heat treatment and non destructive examination procedures where necessary.
  
  * Review contract weld repair rates and produce on a monthly basis an analysis of total repairs for the company.
  
  * Ensuring welding instruments for recording parameters are maintained in good condition and are regularly calibrated.
  
  * To maintain and update the register of company welding procedure qualification records.
  
  * To submit on a monthly basis a report summary of outstanding issues to the Company Welding Services Manager.
