I have worked on several projects from SaaS application to large website with millions of pages in several languages. I'm a developer who likes to work on complex projects and doesn't like humdrum routine work.
My area of expertise is the web development: I work on a web application from the back end to the front end. I'm also comfortable with system administration.
I'm autonomous, I communicate a lot and listen to other. I'm curious, I like learning and above all apply what I learned.

    Strasbourg 2016 - maintenant Mataf is a financial website (Forex, Stock Commodities).

    I'm the architect and I worked on the development of all the services, API and user interfaces of Mataf.net.

    Relaunch Mataf.net from scratch: new architecture, new framework, 100% new code, new business. Develop a new generation of trading platform. New user experience and innovative real time tools.

    ► Backend:
    Design and develop a dozen of API: news, price feed, portfolio, user management...

  • Avvio - Développeur PHP

    2014 - 2016 Hotel booking engine (SaaS).

    ► Development of a new CRM for hotel's corporate clients

    ► Domain name masking: use the domain name of the hotels instead of the standard booking engine domain name. Manage SSL certificates.

    ► I worked with various API (REST and SOAP) and tools.
    - OTA (Online Travel Alliance) interfaces
    - TripConnect Instant Booking: developed the API interface and get the certification from TripAdvisor

  • Mataf - Développeur PHP

    Strasbourg 2007 - 2014 I developed the website Mataf.net (real time tools on currency market - Forex). As the founder and lead developer I managed all the developments from design to deployment.

    ► Back end:
    I managed growth by using different methods: Code optimization, caching with memcached and file caching, CDN, asynchronous calculation. I developed a complete REST API with HTTP Authentication, rate limiting.

    Skills: PHP (Functional and Object Oriented Programming) / MySQL, Memcached, API: design and code a REST API, CDN (Amazon CloudFront), Google App engine (PHP runtime environment), Web Services, XML, JSON, Server side development for iOS in-App purchase and push notification.

    ► Front End:
    I went from table template to responsive design. My biggest challenge was to make a website useful on both mobile and desktop. I have experience in providing real time information (financial quotations and chart), managing touch user interface and make the loading faster. I have a good knowledge of HTML5.

    Skills: HTML/CSS, responsive design (Bootstrap framework), JavaScript, jQuery, several charts library, API: twitter, real time financial quotations

    ► System administration:
    With up to 500 simultaneous connection I had to find the right configuration of every modules. My constraint was to limit the number of server and their cost. I fine-tuned Apache, ip_conntrack, MySQL, Memcached, PHP, iptable/fail2ban. To be completely secure I also automatized the backup and security updates.

    ► Search engine optimization (SEO):
    The website I manage exist in several languages, I used different tools recommended by search engines as ccTLDs, usage of rel="alternate" hreflang="x", canonical page. I monitor search engines crawling to be alerted of any issue. I closely follow the SEO evolution. I've made SEO Audits for financial institutions in Paris and London.

    ► Business:
    I tested several business models: freemium, advertising model. To optimize the revenue I practiced A/B testing.

  • Saxo Bank - Head of Webmarketing

    2006 - 2007 Online banking, Stock and Forex Broker. Synthesis Bank was bought by Saxo Bank in 2007.

    ► Web (PHP, MySQL):
    My mission was to build and manage a developer team to create a new website from scratch (Drupal). I designed a monitoring strategy to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (from first click to customer value)

    ► Marketing:
    I managed Google AdWords account and negotiated several online marketing campaigns.

    ► Reporting:
    I made a weekly report to the bank's President. I automatized the creation of the report.

    Strasbourg 2003 - 2006 Built the roots of Mataf.net and brought it to profitability.
