  • 2D drawings to make machined components, sheet metal components, aluminium extrusion, etc
  • Upgrading 3D existing designs and managing BOM’s

• Actemium (LYON - FRANCE) - Senior Mechanical Engineer - Project leader

  Trappes 2003 - 2010 Specialised in turn-key automated and computerised systems. High speed Sorters and conveyors lines for the Express Delivery business and Order Picking.
  
  Main softwares used: SolidWorks, Photoworks, Animator, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro,
  
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  ► Managed projects, from inception to completion (average project cost: AUD$800k), supervised a multi-disciplined engineering team (Mechanical, Automatic & IT specialists and assemblers).
  
  This role included:
  • Providing technical drawings, renderings, and videos to tenders
  • Meeting with customers
  • Establishing schedules
  • Organising human resources
  • Solving engineering problems
  • Following security requirements
  • Purchasing negotiation for standard parts and subsystems
  • Supervising on-site assembly and set up
  • Provided technical training during start-up
  
  ► Led the mechanical design team (up to 8 people), managed the workload, set day to day priorities, ensuring design was delivered in a cost effective and timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality.

  • Determining the overall requirements of the mechanical design
  • Undertaking the complex mechanical design tasks
  • Designing of mechanical systems
  • Drawings approval
  • Preparation of Bill-of-Materials and assembly drawings
  • Develops design apprentices and supports trainee engineers

  • Developed a new ranges of affordable and effective systems (conveyors, pushers, elevators, sorter)
  • Helped the sale representative to be more efficient during customer meetings with 3D project presentation with immediate and fast modifications
  • Set-up of configurable models in Solidworks allowing to fully represented in 3D a customer project in no-time
