COMMITTED TO BETTERING FRENCH EDUCATION
I am currently the managing director of two French schools preparing students for the dental field: L'Ecole Dentaire Française in Paris, founded in 1886, and L'Ecole Supérieure d'Assistanat Dentaire, founded in 1989.
After growing up in Minnesota, studying and obtaining my B.A. in Chicago, I moved to Oslo, Norway where I worked in a state-funded social assistance center for drug addicts and sex workers. The mission of the center was to help improve the daily life of these adults by providing a place for rest, healthy meals, and access to medical and social services.
After moving to France in 2001, I studied to obtain a Masters degree in literature/language/civilization of Anglophone countries from the University of Lille and the University of Paris. I also taught university-level English for several years before joining the private education group Médisup to develop a five-year higher education program in osteopathic studies. I developed and managed the Institut Dauphine d'Ostéopathie for five years, employing 70 professors and administrative staff and recruiting 450 students. During my time, the college obtained official accreditation from the French Ministry of Health as well as ISO 9001 certification.
Since December 2010, I have joined IGS/Compétences & Developpement with the mission of developing the group's health training programs : the Ecole Dentaire Française and ESAD.
As a former teacher for French students, I have observed firsthand some of their difficulties in professional orientation, learning skills, and self-confidence. These observations are the source of my commitment to French students and my efforts to create a learning environment where students rediscover the joys of learning and personal development, and educators enjoy the renewed respect and a positive image of the teaching profession.
