Position: senior project engineer
Managing complex projects budget over 100m$
In Salah Gas project is a joint venture between BP, Sonatrach, the Algerian state energy company and Statoil hydro. Located in the remote Saharan desert in southern Algeria, it is one of the largest dry gas joint development projects in the country.
Senior Single Point of Accountability (SPA), a leadership and as facilitation role also, I provide a single line of direction and communication for defining and completing the actions necessary to complete a task or solve a problem. I provided the necessary resources to complete the task under management of change process procedures. Especially where responsibilities are unclear or which require more than one discipline, it is necessary to identify the method and resources to carry them out. All follow the same basic risk assessment approach to arrive at the best solution.
I lead the task and provide the single point of direction and communication
I define the task and the steps/timeframe for its execution
I ensure that the appropriate standards, procedures and tools are used
Identifying and coordinating the resources and funding necessary for carrying it out
Lead and drive the execution of the steps making up the task, including regular meetings and communication sessions
Closing out the task, including reports and lessons learned.

Acting as senior project engineer, I manage around 40 complex projects, under the facilities change process using an industry recognized project management technique that splits a facilities change into logical manageable work packages known as “Stages”. Control is provided between the Stages known as “Gates” by decisions to either continue forward to the next facilities change stage, freeze or hold the facilities change (and may be perform further work) or to kill, these projects are based on district three in the center Sahara of Algeria:
1. preparing FEED and statements of requirements for various complex projects
2. Managing modifications on central process facilities.
3. Managing extensions of exiting accommodations facilities.
4. Managing the construction of 06 NOS full Military accommodations facilities various location.
5. Managing the construction of Airstrip with international standards
6. Managing the installation of CCTV systems.
7. Managing the installation of Fire detection systems in various facilities.
8. Managing the installation then installation of sport facilities.
9. Managing the installation of new accommodations facilities various location.
10. Installation of waste water treatment units and incinerator.
