Mon Parcours :
De formation purement technique (BEP, Bac STI Mécanique), je me suis orienté vers la gestion de production et les Méthodes grâce à un DUT Mécanique et surtout grâce à l'ECAM / ITII (école d'ingénieur par alternance), toujours en Mécanique. Ce cursus me permet aujourd’hui une approche de l'industrie aussi bien terrain que scientifique.

Ma dernière entreprise:
Ontex est aujourd'hui leader européen sur le marché de l’hygiène jetable destinée aux MDD (Marque de Distributeurs). Nous produisons entre autres des changes bébés, lingettes, tampons ou encore produits d'incontinence.

De septembre 2006 jusqu'a octobre 2011 j'ai travailler sur le site Ontex Villefrance au service Méthodes (voir plus bas pour plus d'information). Début 2011 Ontex ouvre une usine de production près de Sydney en Australie avec une machine. A la suite de la fermeture du site Francais j'accepte la position de Plant Engineer et deviens responsable maintenance et projets technique sur le site Australien pour 3 ans et demi.

  • Ontex Australia - Plant Engineer

    2011 - 2015 Ontex Australia is composed of 2 entities : Health Care department (more customer services), in Brisbane, and the Manufacturing and distribution plant in the western suburb of Sydney.
    Ontex Manufacturing as been launched in 2011 and is dedicated to baby nappies production. First nappies came out from the first line in April 2011 with a complete team of German Operators and Technicians. Today we are running 2 lines with a team 100% Australian.

    I'm working on the Manufacturing side of the company, as a Plant Engineer. In Australia, this role would be be similar to Technical Responsible in France.

    My Responsibilities are various but focus on all technical side of the production line. We could resume very simply as : To provide to the Production team a capable, well maintain and consistently improved production equipment.

    The main mission I have had to deal with were:

    Mission # 1, Line 2 installation : November 2011-September 2012
    Objective : To move a production line from our "Mother Plant" in Germany to Sydney Plant
    A German Engineer was responsible of all the dismounting, packaging, transport to Sydney's docks. She was driving a Team of Technicians and experts to carry the dismounting and the installation on our site.

    My main responsibilities were :
    -Manage the overall project and organise communication in between German and Aussie team to ensure the the good execution of the project. Tasks / Responsibilities / Time line
    -Prepare the production area to receive a new machine. Upgrad power supply and new main switch board, new Osprey filter, Mezzanine and lighting. Also building modifications and fire protection equipment to ensure the the application of Australian Standards. All was mainly contractor management.
    -Organisation of the transport from Sydney harbour to the site of the 16 containers, using special low truck trailer for some parts. Then unpacking and installation preparation.
    -Overall management of the installation and ensure the progress of the project with respect of timing and safety.
    -Start up of the line and commissioning: with all the support of the production team and German experts, validation of the process and quality of the product.


    Mission #2, Recruitment and building of the Engineering team. August 2012-May 2015
    Objective :Replace the German technicians gone.

    My main responsibilities were:
    -Recruitment and training of 4 Mechanical fitters, 1 Spare parts responsible, 1 Electrical Supervisor and 3 Electricians.
    -Manage the team to deliver Machine breakdown works, maintenance, improvement projects.
    -Ensure the growth of the team members though training, work diversity and experience sharing.

    Mission #3, maintenance improvement, April - July 2013
    Objective: Review the complete maintenance planing given by the German plant to adapt it to local organisation and resources.

    My main actions were:
    -Analysis of all the task to be done in terms of resources, timing and frequency.
    -Change the global planing from 6 weeks basis maintenance to 3 weeks. This to split time needed by 2 to suit to resources available.
    -Train Operator and Technicians to ensure more efficient team.
    -Redone the complete documentation to ensure precise information for each task
    -Decrease average starting time from 5 hours to 1 hour
    -Divide per 2.3 the waste level due to start up.

    Mission # 4 : Machine efficiency improvment ( March-August 2014)
    -Devleppemnt of an Excel table to analyse production database
    -Select and present to Managment Team the top10 main issues with solutions to them
    -Implementation of the solutions with results tracability.
    -Gain about 20% of effiiency over 6 months

    Mission # 5 : Implement Specialised Maintenance Organisation for glue equipment
    -Work out with contrators and safety specialists the way to perform this high risk maintenance activity following the Australian Standards
    -Manage the installation of the new facilities
    -Recruit and train a technician to this new activity
  • Ontex - Ingénieur Méthodes / Améliorations machines

    2006 - 2011 Missions Principales :

    • Gestion d’un projet technique de grande envergure : Modification des équipements de production

    Sur ces machines de 50 m de long , sont déroulées, pliées, collées et coupées une dizaine de bobines de non tissé, PE, élastiques afin de construire une "nappe". A de celle-ci nous retrouvons la partie absorbante appelé le "coussin". Cette nappe est ensuite coupées pour fabriquer les couches (jusqu'à 600 couches/min).

    Objectif: Remplacement de l'équipement nécessaire à l'élaboration du coussin (broyeur/défibreur de pâte à bois, système de ventilation/filtre, doseur gravimétrique, convoyeur à tapis...)Respect du délais, du budget, exigences Groupe et clients...

    Organisation: Travail en binôme pour l'étude/préparation/suivi du chantier. Collaboration avec des Techniciens, Mécaniciens, Électriciens et dessinateurs (Allemand et Français)

    Étude technique, budgétisation, gestion du personnel, suivi du chantier, mise en route, fiabilisation du processus, améliorations techniques, collaboration internationale (15 personnes, durée de 5 mois, 500k€).


    • Animation du formations à l’utilisation d'un nouvel équipement de packaging
    Déplacement à l’étranger, création de documents supports. Planification et animation des formations.

    • Support technique à la production
    Travaux sur des problèmes techniques et qualités récurrents, améliorations des performances et des temps de changement de série, développement d’actions 5S.
