First assigned as the Vice Managing Director in charge of Projects, then General Manager of Giat Offset Emirates as of June 1995. In charge of the Giat subsidiary devoted to the Projects development in view of complying with Giat Industries' Offset obligations. Board Member of Gulf Energy System LLC (Abu Dhabi), Director of Giat Offset Emirates (FZJA), Director and Manager-in-charge of Giat Investment (FZJA). Returned to TOTAL on August 31,1998, after creating 13 Offset Companies within 2.5 years.

Assistance to TOTAL Trading LPG with respect to negotiation with PREPA (Puerto Rico Energy & Power Administration) regarding a new power plant fed with LPG. Huge competition against Enron Development (USA). Special advice on the concept of SPBM (unloading buoys).

One of Total's members of the Joint Venture's Project Development Team (NATGAS), especially in charge of the E.P.C. Examination of the possible sources of Financing. Editing the conditions coming from the E.P.C. contracts' call for bids, examination of the Long Lead Items' feasibility. Clarification and contractual negotiation with potential turnkey contractors.
OMAN LNG:
Project Development and co-ordinator with SHELL for the Gas Division. Negotiation of the EPC Contracts and the Joint Business Agreement with SHELL.
ABU DHABI / United Emirates:
Pre-feasibility study, site surveys and presentation for the concept of a new "Grassroots LNG" located on the Indian Ocean (Fujairah).
Occasional Adviser to Total Middle East, Zone 2

LNG/LPG Marsa El Brega, Libya:
Direction of the contractors and the engineering (TECHNIP) in charge of the modification "Floating Storage". Negotiation with SIRTE Oil Company. In command of the team aboard, on call round the clock.

Direction of the Project, where TECHNIP is the Managing Contractor (equivalent to the EPCM contract). Reconstruction of the Petrochemical Complex, destroyed during the Iraq/Iran war. Six major Plants and international contractors/process holders: Olefins, Polyolefin, Chlor Alkali, DC/PVC, Butadiene / Styrene, Aromatics. Investment: about 2 billion US $.
CLEPLAN, TECHNIP's subsidiary in Brazil.
In-depth audit of that subsidiary from the commercial, legal & finance standpoints. Declined to take over the General Management of the subsidiary for family reasons.
