• Architect and develop customer solutions based on current hands-on knowledge of the VMware product line, storage, networking, management, and associated customer business processes. Specific emphasis on EUC related solutions such as: VMware Horizon View, Horizon Workspace, Horizon Mirage, VMware vCenter Operations for View, and VMware vSphere, in addition to myriad third party products from VMware’s partner ecosystem.
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight into integration of VMware products with third party products within customers IT environment: Active Directory, Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, desktop hardware devices, SAN/NAS storage, networking, systems management, capacity management and monitoring, high availability solutions, security infrastructures, etc.
• Gather detailed business and technical requirements from customers and partners and create specifications that enable the development of concise delivery services and presales collateral.
• Participate in the pre-sales process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to define and recommend effective solutions and services approaches.
• Advise customers on EUC related operational readiness matters such as Service Orientation, Operations Controls, and Infrastructure Controls
• Document best practices in developing and deploying VMware solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base
