- Telephony today, Unified Communication tomorrow: Unified Communication will simplify and reduce the amount of different technologies involved in our daily communication. Legacy communication systems based on analog telephone lines, ISDN, GSM and SMS will dissapear and be replaced by a single communication service, transported over existing and new IP networks. Users will have "always-on" IP connectivity via existing and new LAN, WLAN, WAN, internet, GPRS or UMTS networks. Thanks to new "Presence" services, intelligent communication scenarios will improve our efficiency, in strong contrast to today's hit-and-miss approach in legacy telephony services.
