I joined Bacardi group 17 years ago in Geneva.
First, I played a major role in the migration project from BPCS to SAP
13 months project
4 locations (Bermuda, Germany, Monaco, Switzerland)
I was in charge of Order fulfillment, logistics, transportation and Configuration team
During that project I had of course to conduct workshop with Business, training session and global presentation of the solution to management
Later on, I’ve also deployed the solution to 2 other plants in France (manufacturing & logistic, including Excise taxes).
In Sept 2007, Bacardi released a Global implementation project of SAP worldwide. I then joined it as Subject Matter Expert in Record to Report team.
As a specialist of Indirect and Excise taxes, I conducted workshops with business to collect local requirements and drive them to a global solution.
1. During 7 years, I implemented Excise Duty SAP solution in the following countries:
Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweeden, UK & USA
2. Each country / region has it's own reporting rules to local authorities; this is then required to work closely with local specialists to define detailled business processes and customize the solution
3. Excise Duty is based on Logistics flows; it has 2 implications:
a clear understanding of all logistics processes is required (from procurement to distribution)
a very good knowledge of SAP modules as SD, MM, LE & PP is key
Before joining Bacardi I used to be a consultant for more than 10 years in two different areas:
First in a consulting company in industrial sector
Second in SSA France, BPCS ERP editor in post sales team
Thanks to that double experience, I had the opportunity to be exposed to many business scenarios in various industries mainly in manufacturing, logistic and distribution.
In such positions I had to conduct formal presentations to customers, meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
In addition and in my last role in SSA as Account executive, I had to support pre sales team mainly on SSA implementation methodology.
