    Paris 2004 - 2009 Management of an international team of system administrators (40 people in 5 main locations mainly spread over France and Germany)

    The whole perimeter consists of over 1000 Unix servers distributed on more than 25 sites across Europe with a large majority of Sun Solaris systems and RedHat linux servers.
    The servers hosts R&D services (Rational Clearcase and Clearquest, build servers, tools servers, etc.), Application services (web, Oracle databases, legacy applications,etc.) and Infrastructure services (backup, dns, dhcp, file, nis, smtp, etc.).
  • Alcatel - Manager Unix System Team France

    Paris 2002 - 2004 Manage the French system team (about 20 people located on 5 sites).
    Perimeter: 500 unix servers all over France (more than 10 locations)
    Unix team consolidation and process standardisation for Unix system administration.
  • Alcatel - Manager SAP operations and System Team

    Paris 1999 - 2002 Responsible for SAP operations for 3 main landscapes: 1 for Finance and Supply Chain (FI,CO,SD,MM), 1 for Spare parts management and the last one was an HR system.
    Manager of the ABS Unix and Windows system team (10 people) in Illkirch.
    About 100 servers to manage.
  • Alcatel - SAP BC technical project leader

    Paris 1996 - 1999 Member of the Architecture Department, I had to design, setup, test and put into production the architecture for the Finance and Supply Chain project for Alcatel Business Systems including FI, CO, SD and MM modules.

    In addition to the architecture we defined the production tools around SAP including backup, monitoring, scheduling, performance analysis, etc... to be able to operate those SAP systems efficiently.

    First SAP instances were installed on Digital Unix platforms and then migrated to Sun Solaris clusters.
  • Alcatel - DBA & System Engineer

    Paris 1986 - 1996 As a Digital VMS System administrator I had to manage various configurations including clusters and standalone servers. I was responsible of projects to design VMS clusters before to roll-out configurations on several locations over France.

    At the same time I use to administer Ingres and Oracle Databases running on those clusters mainly for financial, manufacturing and quality control applications.
