Helenina Sâme aka Helene deroubaix is a self-taught photographer who lives in the north of France.She likes to call her work phoetry. She is a poetic writer and painter first of all and she began photography as a way to express her innermost self ,it is a way to keep contact with each of her persona in order to feel a sense of completeness.
Her work conveys deep emotions, poetry, a kind of onirism and story of souls.
There is a fine line between creation and expression, you never can tell the truth of her stories, you are invited to enter her worlds and interprete according to your own story.
" I always try to push myself, to take risks and expose my naked soul in my visual poetry. Perhaps because I need to feel fragile and lost to better find a way to my true self. I am sharing my Lights & darkness through my work and everything that touches my spirit and heart. It is a Maelstrom of Emotions made of my own philosophy of Life.
I have began mostly with self portrait which was a wonderful therapy and a way to discover every layers of myself.
When I work with models I try to read their story, to feel their soul and to reveal the emotions they're going through. It is teaching & I feel connected to the very essence of Humanity this way."
