  • EDF Trading - Power Scheduler

    Paris 2012 - maintenant * Ensure the short term trader's strategy on the markets is physically transposed on the European power grids ;
    * Liaise with counterparties to ensure on a daily basis that the deals are matching and investigate rapidly in
    case of a discrepancy
    * Act as the operational interface between EDF Trading and the different Transmission System Operators
    (TSO's)
    * Nominate European cross border flows and power positions against counterparties to grid operators in the
    entire interconnected European market
    * Create new scheduling tools (Excel / VBA) in order to both enhance the efficiency of the processes and
    reduce the operational risks
    * Implement EDF's long term contracts with historical European counterparties and optimize the allocation of
    the nuclear production according to forecast / real time production of specific French reactors
    * Lead the creation of an operational process to avoid physical imbalances in key markets on a Day ahead basis

    Key achievements: Avoided any major financial losses within the last 3 years thanks to my attention to details
    Created half a dozen Excel tools still in use to this day because of my commitment
    Trained 7 people out of 20 thus developing my managerial skills
  • Natixis - Sales assistant - Commodity Derivatives

    Paris 2011 - 2011 * Write daily morning newsletters for both customers and internal use, based on house analysis and market
    information of the previous days
    * Provide indicative quotes to customers (options, swaps and exotics), calculate a monthly mark to market and
    a number of on-demand client support (e.g. deal booking matters)
    * Build a commercial support for the sales team and participate in the elaboration of the communication
    strategy
    * Participate with structuration and financing team in the elaboration of tailored made solutions to provide
    hedging solutions to structured financing facility (e.g. oil producer in Kazakhstan) or on a stand-alone basis

    Key achievements: Brought a new point of view to the team by rebuilding the marketing support from scratch
  • Oddo & Cie - Sales assistant - Electricity desk

    Paris 2010 - 2011 * Prospect and build client database, develop commercial support and present financial services to the
    customers. Follow up after the contract signature
    * Start developing the renewable certificate activity in France and Germany (RECS and Guaranty of origin). ;
    * Analyse big industrials electricity consumption in order to build a tailored offer that optimizes their power
    consumption and reduces their power delivery bill

    Key achievements: Presented the tailored made service to a major French telecommunication operator and the
    green certificates activity to an American leader in fast food
  • ORBEO - Sales assistant

    2007 - 2007 * Introduce potential customers to the Kyoto mechanisms and especially the Carbon Emission Reduction
    (CER) certificate trading
    * Build a client database from scratch
