Jean-Pierre has received a French education from the “Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieur (ESIEE Paris)” with an Engineering Degree in Microelectronics.

Jean-Pierre's professional career began in 1986 when he joined the Research Laboratory of ESIM Marseille. Jean-Pierre worked on new architectures for high power converters.

From 1992 at Schneider Electric, he developed his expertise in low power consumption for CMOS technology, a new technical approach within a research center of Schneider Electric. He took the challenge of developing high frequency telepowering systems.

From 1997 at STMicroelectronics, he worked towards the development of a contactless product portfolio with more than 20 patents, publications and a significant contribution to the ISO14443 standard. He took up the challenge of developing a high level knowledge in contactless technologies.

In 2003, Jean-Pierre has been found-member and strategic adviser of InSeal, a France based company providing operating systems for contactless applications to a variety of customers in the payments market. This Start up has been sold to OTI (Nasdaq) in 2006 with a total growth revenue higher than 150.

In 2005, Jean-Pierre joined Atmel to manage the development center for contactless applications.
He was focusing on banking, ID & transport to make Atmel one of the leaders in this industry with the successful introduction of a wide range of high performance and highly secure products (Secure Microcontroller Solution, 160 M$ in 2009)

In October 2010, Atmel Secure Microcontroller Division has been sold to Inside Secure. Jean-Pierre is leading Technical Marketing group including Product definition, Qualification, Customer support and ISO committee follow up for Contactless technologies.
