  • Central Group Vietnam - Central Global Sourcing - Import Manager | Food

    2016 - maintenant [Key figures 2017: Reached 10 MUSD, with 32 partners, from 13 different countries, covering 5 main departments (Fresh Food – Fruits, Seafood, Butchery, Delicatessen & FMCG, around 500 containers and air shipments].

    • Identifying new business opportunities thanks to the understanding of local demands and global market seasonality.
    • Negotiating general terms, prices and quality standards with key partners to enable effective trading, operations and customers/ suppliers long-term relations, aligned with the accepted rules and regulations of the organization.

    • Implementing import activities in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local and international law and process (e.g. insurances, duties and taxes).
    • Monitoring shipment process to ensure products are delivered within expected time frame and properly distributed to stores.
    • Liaising with other departments to establish and maintain effective and relevant import activities and support the organization's sales, purchasing, materials management, production and overall operating functions.
    • Managing language and communications issues as necessary to enable effective relations and integration of imported products.
    • Managing a team of buyers and import coordinators with the main objectives to effectively train, motivate, delegate, monitor and evaluate their activities.

    • Setting up retail & pricing strategy for fresh fruits category.
    • Organizing activities and events to promote imported products to local customers including contests, product sampling, fruit fair, etc.
    • Designing POSM and gathering creative content for digital marketing of imported products in coordination with suppliers, internal Marketing Department and agencies
    • Working closely with 35 stores to strategize effectively stock planning, warehousing and distribution activities.
    • Anticipating, researching and reporting on future changes in import laws and in local territory practices, and ensuring such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department's own strategy, resources and procedures.

    Saint-Étienne 2015 - 2016 In addition to my previous responsibilities, I have also been appointed to:
    • Manage a team of 3 merchandisers in charge of the entire Food portfolio, driven by incentives and budget.
    • Increase and participate in the management of the Department’s profitability.
    • Elaborate the annual budget & incentives.
