Project management and supplier management for the TV module Hybrid (analog and digital) using I-Bus. Putting first in production of the TV module.
The department involved has the responsibility of the development of entertainment system in the car, in particularly the development and the integration of Radio, CD, TV, Video, Rear Seat Entertainment and DVB-T functions. I supported this client to develop and bring in production the TV module hybrid (analog and digital DVB-T signals) in the cars using the communication bus I-Bus.
Realization:
- Organization of HW and SW validation tests in car and Labcar.
- Co-ordination between the factories and the supplier.
- Milestones acceptance meeting organization.
- Project progress and costs reporting.
- Acceptance of the electronic, mechanic Interfaces with internal and external partners.

Project management, design and development of conformance test cases and test environment for the R&S measurement platforms (CRTU-G, CRTU-W, CMUs).
The department involved has the responsibility of the development of the OMA conformance test cases for the data applications on mobile phones, like MMS, PoC, IMS, DM, SUPL or BCAST. As freelance engineer, I design, develop and test the test cases and the framework needed to run these test cases independently of the R&S test platform: WCDMA/UMTS (CRTU-W or CMU), GPRS (CRTU-G or CMU 200) or CDMA2000.
Realization:
- Design, development and tests of OMA test cases in TTCN-3 and/or R&S specific language (XML based).
- Design, development and tests of the framework and user interfaces in C# and Java.
- Official OMA Change Requests management.
- Milestones acceptance meeting organization.
- Project progress reporting.
- Client support and "Test fest".
- Validation of documentations (specification, user manual,…).

In order to be CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level 3 compliant, the "Function and Process Development" department analyzes and improves the BMW MMI development process through several work packages (Structure of specifications, Configuration and Planning Management, Change Request Process,...).

Software developer in the UMTS Protocol team. Involved in the Layer 1, 2 and 3.
Technical support in the development of the Radio Resources Control Unit (RRC), especially the mapping of the setting between ASN.1 messages and the sub-layer's control messages and the implementation of the Security Mode Command procedure for the Integrity Protection setting and of the Radio Bearer Control procedures (Configuration, Reconfiguration and Release).
Realization:
- Studies of the RRC structure and ASN.1 messages (SIB5, Radio Bearer Setup, Security Mode Command...).
- Redesign of the structure used to map information between the ASN.1 messages and control messages (CRLC-, CMAC-, CPHY-).
- Management of new functionalities implementation: organization of design meetings, requirements, interface and architecture definitions documents, planning estimation, implementation and test, validation document, review meeting, support of clients.
- Redesign of the program's architecture of the configuration and connection management parts (2 of 3) of the RRC.
- Studies of the CRTU-W UMTS Layer 1 Software structure.
- Management of the design process of the software: requirements document, organization of design meetings (minutes and design document), implementation scheduling.
- Design, implementation, test and integration of several modules (power control process, debug process, framework, test harness) for the complete Layer 1 DSP software, harmonization with the upper layers procedures.
- Validation document and review meeting, user support.
- Integration of the power level control loop in the complete system.
- Performance test of several user interfaces to display the error and debug messages.
