  • SEREPT (Joint Venture OMV & ETAP) - Senior Process Engineer

    2014 - maintenant SEREPT is a joint venture between OMV and ETAP Tunisia, it is the operator of ASHTART offshore field which is
    located in the Gulf of Gabes offshore Tunisia, it consists of a central processing complex (PFC) consisting of 4
    platforms linked by bridges and a satellite platform (PF3), the field produces 75,000 BFPD. I'm working as Senior Process Engineer within engineering department with following responsibilities:
    * Manage and perform process engineering investigations and solutions.
    * Undertake Engineering investigations as to the viability and cost effectiveness of proposed modifications
    * Ensure that the Process Safety in Design is properly addressed and implemented.
    * Take part on the HSSE Audit, Incident Investigation and promote a safety culture to ensure that all safety issues are reviewed.
    * Prepare/Participate on the preparation, monitoring and control the process Engineering budget: OPEX and CAPEX.
    * Prepare/Initiate/Review process Engineering Work packs, prior to MoC approval.
    * Review & verify the design and implementation of modifications in the process disciplines ensuring they meet the appropriate codes and standards.
    * Preparation of technical specifications relating to procurement issues, bids technical evaluation and goods reception.
    * Act as the Technical Verification Authority and technical support to site team to process engineering issues in order to maintain asset integrity.
    * Contribute to the creation and update of working procedures and operating manuals facilities.
  • SEREPT (Joint Venture OMV & ETAP) - Lead Process Facilities Engineer

    2011 - 2014 Worked as Lead Process Engineer for Ashtart revamping project. The main target for this project is to improve production, safety and lifetime recovery from field on, with following responsibilities:
    * Participate in the design of projects: new turbo gas lift compressor, fuel gas treatment unit, turbo generator, condensate stabilization column and firefighting system.
    * Review and participate in the preparation of pressure relief, blow down & flare study reports.
    * Prepare & develop the project main documents such as process description, process control philosophy, operating guide, basic control philosophy, manuals.
    * Conduct hydraulic studies, equipment and instrument lists, cause & effect, data sheets and technical specifications.
    * Develop PFD, heat and material balance, P&IDs, UFD, Instrument and equipment calculations.
    * Participate in preparation of technical proposals.
    * Review Hydrate formation report, hydrate mitigation.
    * Address safety participation through HAZOP study, response and closure of close sheets.
    * Carry out process simulations (HYSYS).
    * Participate in process discipline technical authority team in SEREPT Company.
    * Ensure the follow up & provide comments for all deliverables relevant to the detail design for both sides: minor improvements inside SEREPT project team & major improvements within Wood Group PSN contractor.
    * Assist others disciplines and follow up for Wood Group PSN scope of work and deliverables.
    * Manage the interface between detailed engineering contractor (Wood Group PSN) and vendors to resolve technical issues.
    * Review and approve all Tie-In points’ installation procedures relevant to Minor work packages.
  • SEREPT (Joint Venture OMV & ETAP) - Process Engineer

    2005 - 2011 Worked as senior process engineer in SEREPT in Ashtart project. My responsibilities include the following:
    * Prepares conceptual design or provide advice on process matters which may arise during Operation, commissioning & start-up. Reviews the P&IDs, PFDs, Control & ESD Philosophy, Vent and blow down study, Data sheets of different process equipment.
    * Review and participate in the preparation of necessary documents for the implementation of Minor work packages: cause & effect Matrixes, PID’s, UFD’s, relief, blow down & flare study reports, line lists, tie in lists, heat & material balance reports, procedures for isolation, decommissioning, calculation notes, …
    * Review and verify Process Design basis, Heat & Mass Balance sheets, pressure drop & evaluation of other Process parameters using HYSYS simulator.
    * Review and comments safety documents: Firefighting system study report, vent, relief, blow down & flare system’s design review & study reports, CO2 & gas dispersion study reports, Fire & gas detection system, Cause & effect Matrix.
    * Reviews technical bids submitted by consultants and equipment vendors.
    * Assistance as process for the kick off and technical clarification meetings of almost all contracts within the revamping project such as Fuel gas compressor, refrigeration unit, production separator, hydro cyclone, exchangers…
    * Leading & follow up of the contract execution of test separator hydro-cyclone.
    * Tender documents preparation, technical and commercial evaluation of contracts related to refrigeration unit and shell and tube exchanger.
    * Assist to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) of different packages such as (Fuel gas treatment unit equipment, DCS system, refrigeration UCP,…)
    * Took Part in HAZOP and SIL sessions arranged at different stages of the project and for different vendor packages.
