En résumé

I am responsible for the UX/UI design department at Renault.
My mission is to make Renault’s cockpits attractive while staying intuitive. My challenge is to make User Experience become a reason of purchase.

I started at Renault as a 3D computer graphic artist. Building and improving everyday the quality of the images produced, I have strongly contributed in making Renault, a reference in computer graphic images.
In 2000, I was given the mission of developing the Human Machine Interface activity at Renault Design.
Convinced of the importance of HMI as a strong contributor of brand identity, I have been in charge of the component and the HMI team since 2009. I-DESIGN Lab nests the best experts in software interaction and component design, allowing RENAULT to propose a holistic approach in interaction design.

The cockpit of the new Espace revealed at Paris Auto-show in September 2014 illustrates all the expertise and work of the team. We have completely changed the way we draw a car Interior, starting and building the concept with what was so long called, details. In that way we manage to reinforce our identity. Components such as steering wheels, gear knobs but also HMI express our DNA.

The growth of apps for the car and the revolution of autonomous driving will definitively change the future of cars and my goal is to be an actor of this change.

  • Renault - Design studio chief

    Boulogne-Billancourt 2009 - maintenant Creation of the i-DESIGN Lab.
    In charge for the components and interaction design studio.
    Constructing the transversal component strategy on Zoé, Clio4, Twingo 3 and Espace 5.
    Leading the development of multimedia systems such as R-Link, MEDIANAV revealed in 2012, R-Link2 and RnGO for Smatphones with Twingo3 in 2014.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
    - Manage collaboration of the user experience design team with ergonomics, quality and engineering departments.
    - Lead workshops to build Renault’s components and interaction design strategy.
    - Manage trend scouting to insure innovation and competitiveness.
    - Communicate with decision makers, i-DESIGN Lab’s strategy and vision.
    - Manage interaction development from concept through production.
    - Manage third party collaborations in Japan and in Korea.
    - Hire designers that match perfectly the needs of the i-DESIGN Lab.
    - Create new tools for tests and presentations adapted to our new activity.
  • Renault - Lead designer

    Boulogne-Billancourt 2000 - 2009 Designer of the human space aspect of a vehicle, from ergonomics to functionality of instrument panels.

    Project leader of the MMI concept presented at the Paris 2006 Auto-show.

    Designer of the clusters for the Lattitude, the Megane and the Kangoo released in 2008.

    Design leader of the navigation systems, “Carminat communication”, developed with Nissan and released on Laguna 2 in 2004 and “Carminat Bluetooth” presented on Laguna 3 in 2007.

    Designer of the new Dacia logo presented in 2007.

    Product designer of various multimedia parts (keyboards, keys, watches…).

    Project leader of the MMI for the concept cars Dataspace and BeBop in 2002.
  • Renault - CG Artist

    Boulogne-Billancourt 1996 - 2000 Art director of the computer graphic design team on the concept films “Trait d'Esprit”, “Escapade” and “Vel Satis en Capitale”.

    In charge of the graphic quality of the 3D image production developed by Renault.
