Maribel has more than a decade of experience as a consultant in climate change adaptation (adaptation strategies, vulnerability assessments, socio-economic impacts), public policy analysis including market-based policies (conception, evaluation, policy instruments, reference levels, cost-benefit assessments - private and social economic impacts), conception of decision making tools and natural resources economics. She has led and participated in more than twenty projects on adaptation to climate change on the last four years. She is an agricultural engineer from Polytechnic University of Madrid with a four-year specialization in Economics. She holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management from the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM-IAMM) and a post-graduate diploma (DEA) in Geography from Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, France. Maribel Hernandez also holds the ADEME Climate Change and Energy Advisor diploma. Maribel is fluent in Spanish, French and English.
