  • SERVIER - Preclinical development in rheumatology

    Suresnes 2007 - 2007 Responsibilities
    - Review the experimental data provided by the researchers who realise the preclinical studies.
    - Write final study reports to present the main results and conclusions of the studies.

    Achievements
    - Analysis and synthesis of the results from three preclinical studies and redaction of the related final reports
    - Proposition of innovative research ideas
  • INSERM (U574, headed by Corinne Antignac) - Medical research in nephrology

    2002 - 2007 Responsibilities
    - Lead two complementary scientific projects aimed at studying cystinosis, a genetic renal disease.
    - Collaborate to a preclinical development project with two pharmaceutical companies
(Orphan Europe and Iris Pharma, France)
    - Manage relationships with international partners
    - Present the key results by writing publications and making oral presentations
    - Lead junior staff
    - Perform experiments using classical methods of molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, animal experimentation and microarray analysis.

    Achievements
    - Generation of an animal model which mimics symptoms of the human pathology and which is now used for the evaluation of therapeutic agents
    - Collaboration to a successful preclinical study which demonstrated the effectiveness of a new administration form of the molecule
    - Identification of a new cellular defect associated with the pathology
    - Redaction of two scientific publications relating these results
  • INSERM (U393, headed by Arnold Munnich) - Research assistant in metabolism

    2001 - 2002 Main responsibility
    - Identify mutations in the mitochondrial genome of patients affected by a respiratory chain deficiency

    Achievements
    - Identification of 3 mitochondrial mutations responsible for respiratory chain deficiencies
    - Creation of an innovative cellular assay to demonstrate that the mutations were inducing the biochemical defects
    - Involvement in the redaction of three scientific publications relating these results
