Lead and manage daily workflow for a small team of scientists who provide support for the preclinical safety assessment of new drug compounds (biologics and small molecules). Initiate and lead investigative activities to understand relevant target biology, mechanisms of toxicity, pathways critical to adverse response, use and development of safety biomarkers.
    • Liaise directly with CRO partners and act as a study monitor for Gene Therapy Programs.

    • Successfully investigated and characterized changes of gene expression associated with high fat diet and aging in a rat model. Communicated results by oral presentation and poster to the 2nd annual meeting EU integrated Project: CRESCENDO; Geneva, Switzerland 2008.
