2006 - maintenantMain project 1: EU-funded project. Comparative analysis of primate genomes, transcriptomes and proteomes with an emphasis on cognitive capabilities.
Main project 2: National Research Agency (ANR) funded project. Role of the MCH/PMCHL gene family in the progression of Parkinson disease in primates (humans, macaques).
Activity:
• Setup of protocols and conduction of QPCR experiments to study differential gene expression of primate specific genes in Parkinson disease
• Validation of microarray results by expression quantification of selected genes in order to study pathways activated in different brain areas of MPTP-treated monkeys (Macaca fascicularis)
• Preparation of biological samples: nucleic acid and protein collections of primates
• Identification of transcript populations
• Analyzing sequences using specialized computer tools
• Bibliography, manuscript preparation (results, materials and methods, figures)
