    - Organize/coordinate the transport of material (piping / boilers/ flare and heavy lift cargoes) with the various partners
    involved such as the Client, the Freight Forwarder, the site, the expediting and the Suppliers respecting the HSE.
    - Weekly reporting to the project, the site and the Client stating the various steps of the material.
    - Check all the invoices of the sub-contractors and the Freight forwarder.
    - Issue the Change order to the PO if/when necessary. ;
    - Monthly evaluation of the freight forwarder's performance (KPIs).
    - Request for quotations and try to obtain the best prices. Check all the drafts of the B/L and AWB for every shipment.
    - Liaise with the Freight forwarder, his local agent and the site in order to ensure all is in order and avoid the ``bottle-
    neck effect''. Cross checking of the Vessels' position progress.
    - Select and negotiate with the various companies for translations in Arabic and the legalization of the shipping
    documents.
    - Propose new clauses to be inserted in the purchase orders.
    - Participate to the settlement of procedures with submission of templates like Logistics Questionnaire, Breakdown of
    the quotations, etc.

    Issue: Transportation of special / heavy lift & exceptional equipments for a project based in Jordan.
    - Organize/plan/coordinate the shipment of the material with two units (1 based in Brussels, 1 based in Toronto).

    - Ensure that all involved partners to the project are applying the best practices as well as the code of ethics and
    HSE.
    - Regular reporting on the material deliveries. ;
    - Monthly evaluation of the freight forwarders' performances.
    - Technical follow up with the freight forwarders : Ensure that the escort is correctly provided (when necessary),
    ensure that all the heavy lift equipments are available and in place for loading/discharging operations, check that
    the Vessels' description is matching/in line with the requests stipulated in the transportation purchase order.
    - Liaise with the underwriters: check the contractual conditions, ask for the nomination of a marine surveyor and
    transmit the RCN for highly added value equipment.
    - Ask for quotations and obtain the best competitive prices and validate the documentation for each shipment.
    - Check and approve the CMAs or invoices for the transportation for and on the Client's account.

    The results :
    - Shorten the lead time (delivery dates/customs/ loading & discharging operations.
    - Improvement of performances noticed during the very first months (2 gas exchangers weighing 193 T were
    safely delivered within 12 days without any damage).
    - Closely control the transportation costs for and on the Client's account (reduction of abt US
    Dolls 550.000,00 US Dollars) and avoid the bottle neck at the redelivery port.
    - Sign the respect of code of ethics and fight the risks of conflicts of interests.
    - Apply some logistics best practices to save time and money.

    - Amount of the purchase order: 15.000.000,00 US Dolls.
