Entreprises

  • Independent - Trainer IT Consultant

    2004 - 2008 Software development and architectural work for Ratewise.

    Investigated, designed and developed additional functionality for Ratewise suite of products. Technology involved includes Microsoft .net c#/asp 3.5, Visual Studion 2010, Web Services, c# Threading and Jquery.

    Implemented and configured development environment for remote team. Involves installing configuring administering bug database, hosting environment and version control software.

    Introduced changes to improve internal processes. Implementing a strategy to improve the products interoperability and organisation.

    Upgraded and migrated ASP .NET applications from Windows server 2003 32-bit IIS 6 to Windows server 2008 R2 64-bit IIS 7. Optimised performance through IIS Application pool configuration.

    Other activities include:
    Creating and giving a training course on Software development process to employees of The Arkea group.
    Leading a team of Engineering Students in creating an English version of their academic institutes's website.
  • Cambridge Technology Partners/Novell - Senior Developer/Consultant

    2000 - 2004 Designed, developed and tested on ecommerce and content management projects for various multi-national companies.
    Technologies worked with include Java, Eclipse, JSP, Struts, Perl, C++, Rational Purify, HP/Solaris Unix, Bourne/Korn shells, XML, UML.
    Facilitating client design and scope sessions.
    Giving presentations to both client and fellow team members.
    Empowering other team members in technical areas.
    Creating user and administration documentation.
  • Manpower - Programmer

    Nanterre cedex 1999 - 2000 Worked on a project for Manpower. This was a company wide roll out of a database recruitment system.
    Responsible for the implementation of new functionality and the improvement of current functionality. The position involved working with VB (RDO objects) and MS SQL Server.
  • Centocor - Analyst Programmer

    1998 - 1999 Responsible for Business Applications development and support.
    Compiled and documented user requirements, created design specifications, coded and created acceptance tests in accordance to the GAMP standard.
    Involved in auditing IT vendors as part of FDA guidelines.
  • Exact Software International - Quality Assurance Engineer

    1997 - 1998 Created test suites.
    Tested Exact Software product.
    Designed and developed a test case manager application in Visual Basic.
  • Microsoft - Software Development Engineer / Software Test Engineer

    Issy-les-Moulineaux. 1994 - 1997 Compiled localised software versions of MS Exchange.
    Planned co-ordinated and tested localised versions of MS Exchange.
