    2014 - 2016 Project: Medupi - a Greenfield coal-fired Power Plant built by ESKOM near Lephalale in the Limpopo province, South Africa. The plant has a construction value of R 120 Billion - When complete, the power station will comprise six units with a gross nominal capacity of 800 MW each resulting in a total capacity of 4800 MW of power.
    Client: Eskom
    Assignment: Representing JR Knowles I provided support and advice to the Engineer's representative on claims related issues. I supervised the packages P04 i.e. Low Pressure Services and 18 i.e. Consolidated Building Management System.
    Estimated value of P18 (CBMS) Contract: ZAR 299,701,653 and USD 1,779,988
    Estimated value of P04 (LPS) Contract: ZAR 1,074,445,009
    Post Award Responsibilities: provide advices and support to FIDIC commercial team on events likely to cause cost, delay or disruption; collected and organized claim related project records, review and assess Contractors `claims; drafted 20.1 Responses to address the principle of the submitted claims; implementation of 20.1 Monitoring tool later adopted by all Contract Packages, updated the Claims register for P04 and P18.

    2013 - 2014 Strategic Management:
    Ensure that all strategic and operational initiatives of the division are aligned with overall corporate goals.
    Operation Management:
    Ensure that project delivery is on time and within the budget estimates;
    Identify and communicate any issues as well as actions taken to mitigate those issues;
    Conduct project progress meetings and monthly project review meetings;

    Financial Management:

    2011 - 2013 Project: Ma'aden's joint venture with Alcoa. The plant had a construction value of USD 10.8 billion. The aluminium project involves the development, design, construction and subsequent operation of alumina refinery, aluminium smelter and rolling mill at Ras Al Khair.
    Client: Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden).
    Assignment: Representing Fluor and Maaden's interests at all levels for Maaden-Alcoa, I supervised the construction of infrastructure works (Above and underground piping, waste water treatment and external works which include roads, underground utility services, fencing)
    Estimated value of Contracts administered: K003 - Gulf Asia - Pipeline - SAR 72 Million; K005 - Gulf Consolidated - Pipeline - SAR 154 Million; K006 - Seven Construction - NEWT - SAR 125 Million
    Pre Award Responsibilities: Contracts drafting, Risk assessment, bid management, monitoring of bidders selection, commercial and contractual negotiation with bidders, recommendations for contract award, letters of award drafting, kick-off meeting.
    Post Award Responsibilities: monitor contractors `activities in relation with mobilisation, procurement, transportation, delivery on site, installation of material and equipment, chair progress meeting and issues minutes, manage communication, insurances, check invoices and issue payment certificates, manage Contracts modifications (site instruction if cost inferior to 5,000 USD, change order, claims and variation).

    Paris La Defense 2010 - 2011 Project: OL3 - Nuclear Power Plant - Construction Value: EUR 4 Billion - 1 European Water Pressurized Reactor (EPR) unit in turnkey construction - The plant will generating a net electric output of 1600 MWe.

    Client: Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO)
    Assignment: I supervised the finishing works (Painting) with regard to the Construction of a Nuclear Island on the TVO European Water Pressurized Reactor Project in Olkiluoto (Finland). The plant had a construction value of EUR 4 billion.
    Estimated value of Contracts administered: Dietrich - Pipeline - EUR 38 Million
    Post Award Responsibilities: Enforced Contracts, monitor contractors `activities in relation with finishing works, chair progress meeting and issues minutes, manage communication, check invoices and issue payment certificates, manage Contracts modifications (site instruction, change order, claims and variation), issue financial reports.

    Reporting was done to Project Director and Client project team.

    2006 - 2010 Project: EPCM Aluminium Smelter Plant - Construction value of USD 6 Billion

    Client: Quatalum
    Assignment: Representing FATA and QATALUM interests at all levels. Lead the contracts department and integration with project team. I supervised the construction activities of two industrial buildings and the external works which include roads, underground utility services, fencing.
    Estimated value of Contracts administered: Kettaneh - Civil Work and architectural services - QAR 250 Million; Debaj - Utilities - QAR 118 Million; Al Reyami - Structural Steel and cladding - USD 32 Million
    Managing Staff: I managed and trained 11 professional staff Fata (4 Quantity surveyors, 2 document controllers, 4 planners, 1 civil engineer)

Two sections are powered by coal and two sections are powered by fuel oil. The improvement project entails setting the solid, liquid and gas emissions from the coal-powered sections of plant in conformity with international standards with regards to environmental protection and operational productivity.

    Post Award Responsibilities: manage Contracts claims on several construction projects.
