  • General Electric - Mechanical Systems Engineer

Paris 2014 - maintenant * Lead engineering development of mechanical systems for Gas Turbines at GE Belfort.
The scope of responsibility is divided into 5 main focus areas, assuming a close collaboration with different segments of the company to ensure competitiveness of GE products:
•• New products introduction: Develop mechanical designs for new products proposed by GE.
•• Development of suppliers: Close work with suppliers to keep high standard of designs, follow the development at their engineering office and the manufacturing at their factory
•• Product cost out: Lead initiatives for cost reductions with Sourcing department, to decrease prices of the purchased products for a constantly improved quality.
•• Projects execution: Coordinate engineering teams at the interfaces of the mechanical systems, to ensure correct projects execution and adapt to specificities of each powerplant site.
•• Customer fulfillment: Regular contacts with worldwide Project Managers and Sales support to fulfill customers needs. Regular reporting to Management to address challenges and achievements of the team.

    * Ensure technical expertize on the following mechanical systems:
    •• Load gear and transmissions
•• Enclosures for acoustical isolation, heating & ventilation
    •• Structures and test benches
with a focus on B/E/F/H Gas Turbine Technology for 6 & 9 Frames.
  • General Electric - Edison Engineer

Paris 2012 - 2014 The EEDP is a two-year program, consisting of four rotations of 6 months. Rotational assignments are engineering projects driven by real GE business priorities. The program cultivates technical problem-solving skills via advanced engineering coursework, formal reports and presentations to senior leadership, in addition to valuable work experience.

Projects are around gas turbines, combined cycle with steam turbines and their auxiliaries (4 times 6 months):

    • Rotation 1: Powerplant Systems Engineering (Belfort, FRA)
Created and managed technical documentation for EDF customer
(9HA.01 Bouchain). Developed a whole new document format to allow functional description for combined cycle systems (gas and steam turbine).

    • Rotation 2: Fluids Systems Engineering (Belfort, FRA)
Performed 9HA.01 gas fuel system design and robustness simulations, using 6-sigma approach.
Managed the manufacturing and assembly coordination of the gas fuel system for 9HA.01.

    • Rotation 3: Field Performance Engineering (Glasgow, UK)
Performed Gas Turbines performance on-site tests for upgraded units, to validate guarantees to customers.

    • Rotation 4: Application Engineering (Belfort, FRA)
Led response to calls for tenders & customer follow-up until contracts signature, as GT application engineer.

After a successful completion of the program - ranked as role-model - I off-boarded as mechanical design engineer, allowing me to lead business critical projects as well as participating in new products introduction programs.
  • Simutec - Structure Engineer

    2012 - 2012 * Solved structure analysis problems
    * Used ANSYS numerical simulation code, to perform the stress analysis of varied structures with finite elements analysis: steel framework, baseframes, nuclear pressure equipments.
  • EDF - Design Engineer

    Paris 2011 - 2011
  • Simutec - Design Engineer

    2010 - 2010
