. Purchasing - review and analyze best vendors to place orders with based on cost, quality, turn around time, etc. Monitor and assist the final negotiation
. Merchandising - review day to day activity with merchandisers assisting them with solutions to problems and challenges
. Shipping - reviewing shipping schedule to ensure on time shipping
. Finance - responsible for budget control and analysis, management reporting, monthly payroll, monthly expenses. Responsible for approval of all expenditures. Responsible for working with outside accountants for reporting to Government Agencies
. Human resources - hiring and terminating staff as needed, training and maintaining good team attitude among staff
. Sample room - ensure quick sample room turn around, monitor sample room budget. Oversee material sourcing, and allocation of the development itself
. Q/A - Oversee in house lab procedures to make sure all goods are compliant with government regulations. Monitor outside lab testing procedures and costs
. Q/C - Oversee inspection staffs procedures in order to maintain quality merchandise is shipped. Oversee and help factories to pass retailer audits.
. Source appropriate factories for current business and future growth. Maintain good relationship with existing vendors. Help develop new factories and countries. Source new products to grow business. Evaluate factories' development and production capacity to strategically place orders.
