My responsibilities:
• Take the authority of the buying process in all new development projects, from project feasibility until the launch in production
• Support the R&D Department, and part of the Project teams
• Find, evaluate and select suppliers taking into account the R&D needs, the company’s supplier qualification process and the company’s purchasing policy.
• Technology survey is part of my responsibility
• Participate in the optimisation of the supplier panel in a Global Sourcing
• Within the framework of the projects, I negotiate, establish and follow contracts, manage the launch of tools and prototypes and follow the parts qualification
• Key team player in the achievement of the three main operational objectives: quality improvement, cost reduction and “on time” delivery
• Play a key role in the new product developments
• Respond proactively to internal clients in a transversal dynamic
My profile:
••Fluent in French and English(I start to learn mandarin 2 years ago)
•Familiar with mines, mills and steel industry mechanical parts
•Good knowledge of the quality process
•With an international sourcing expertise especially from low cost countries (especially China)
•International and multicultural experience
•Effective and tough negotiator; rigorous and autonomous; focused, organized and results oriented
•Team oriented approach in a participative management structure
•Ready to travel
