Nancy

En résumé

I am going to obtain a Ph.D. in Cellular & Molecular Biology in the University of Lorraine (Nancy, France) in October 2014. This work has been performed in the Health-Biology-Signal department of the CRAN Lab (cran.uhp-nancy.fr) and aims to search and identify new predictive biomarkers in breast cancer. Our results will contribute to discovery of a new reliable predictive marker of response to anticancer agents and to improve therapeutic treatments and avoid their failure in resistant patients. I would like to apply for a postdoctoral position in some research group after my thesis. My scientific interests focus on three major concerns in field of Biology and Health:

- Identification of new reliable prognostic and predictive biomarkers in cancers or other diseases and characterization of the associated molecular mechanisms,

- Investigating cell death mechanisms (apoptosis and alternate modes) in carcinogenesis or neurodegenerative disorders,

- Understanding how intracellular metabolism, immune system and tissue microenvironment can affect the process of cell death.

Nancy 2010 - 2010 University of Lorraine – CNRS, Research Center for Automatic Control of Nancy (CRAN)
Master of Biological Science (Second year)

Project title: “Influence of the Damaged DNA Binding 2 protein on respond to anticancer drugs in breast cancer cells”
Advisors: Professor Philippe Bécuwe and Dr. Stéphanie Grandemange.
Project: In this work, I have analyzed the effects of an expression modulation of DDB2 protein in breast cancer cells on anticancer drugs sensitivity and respiratory activity of mitochondria. I have performed apoptosis assay and oxygen consumption measurement.

Project title: “Expression and importance of SEMA6B, a novel PPARs target gene, in Human Glioma”
    Advisors: Dr. Lionel Domenjoud
Project: During this 2 months project, I measured SEMA6B expression profiles in some human glioblastoma cell lines and tumor samples. This work has served to a thesis project of a PhD student in laboratory.
