I am very interested in the position of electrical/electronic engineer as the role relates directly to my qualifications, employee resourcing experience and career intentions within the challenging field of electrical/electronic engineering.
Presently, I have completed my MSC in broadband wireless and optical communication engineering in university of Leeds where I have built upon a wealth of practical experience to gain a deeper technical knowledge of communication engineering including wireless communication system design, optical communication network, digital signal processing, cellular mobile communication systems, photonics and communication technologies, wimax and broadband network and great knowledge in node positioning and localization in wireless sensors network through research work.
My BSC (Hons) Electrical/Electronics placement took place in one of the reputable company of energy production in Ghana: VRA (Volta River Authority) and this provided me a perfect opportunity to work with a group of engineer as part of a team and socialise with people from multi-ethnic backgrounds.
During my degrees, I have values being able to further develop the engineering thinking, designing and IT skills, problems solving, time keeping, communication, organisational planning I harnessed during my career.
My placements were all relevant and I did gain much on doing them. I get familiar with transmission through fibre optics, PLC (power line carrier) also the testing, splicing, joining, maintenance of optical fibres. I developed my team work skills and built up my confidence. I was also able to trace, create lines (allocate numbers), troubleshoot and resolve all phone line problems.
My work experience helped me understand the duties of an engineer including daily routine in a communication engineering department. Being a Network Switching Subsystem engineer has enriched me with a great knowledge in GSM, with the implementation of network changes and I also got familiar to routine maintenance.
My ability to speak and write both English and French fluently, combined with a fair understanding of German, has proved a tremendous asset when communicating with people from different countries.
In conclusion, I am confident that I will make a very positive contribution to meet your goal
