• Responsible for the coordination of the E-Governance Executive Master Program:

• Coordinate the linguistic Quality Assurance of Mechanical Engineering products translated into French, Italian, German and Spanish.
• Responsible for the Language Quality Assurance of all Autodesk products translated and adapted for the Italian market.
• Outsource the linguistic review of the Italian products to a dedicated vendor: track vendor’s performance, identify and provide required training. During my first year with Autodesk, I was also responsible for the selection of the Italian dedicated vendor.
• Create and maintain terminology databases, translation memories, style guides and project-specific guidelines for the translators' reference.
• Resolve the terminological queries raised by translators and reviewers and ensure terminological and stylistic consistency across all product components.
• Liaise with the Autodesk Italian Country Office and manage terminology approval.
• Cooperate closely with the project team (Project Managers, Software Engineers, Desktop Publishing experts) and assist in driving terminological and other linguistic issues towards a timely resolution.

Coordinate freelance translators and manage sizeable language projects: the most
demanding project had a scope of 2 million words and involved a team of 15 freelancers.
Here is an outline of the role I covered:
• Searched and recruited freelance translators. Devised a test kit that enabled me to select the most suitable candidates.
• Allocated, trained and monitored linguistic resources. Built an efficient language team, by matching skills and interests to project requirements.
• Negotiated prices and schedules and ensured that deadlines were met.
• Established and communicated project milestones and schedule.
• Created and maintained project glossary, style guide and project-specific guidelines for the translator’s reference.
• Performed extensive Language Quality Checks of translated content.
• Liaised with the client’s dedicated reviewer. Been solely responsible for linguistic coordination and Quality Assurance. Outcome: the feedback received from the client was enthusiastic.
