Responsible for the IT function, reporting to – and working
directly with – the IT Manager.
Support the IT systems and network and communications infrastructure of an office of +2000 staff (excluding several out-of-office
staff and remote users) on a day-
to-day basis, providing:
Desktop support – working with Windows 7 and 8, Office 2010 and 2013, printers, phones, Blackberry, Access databases.
Server-side support – working with Windows Server & Exchange 2010, Active Directory, DHCP, Backups, Antivirus, Cripting.
Network support – working with LANs/WANs, switches, firewalls (Sonicwall), DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs.
Support for a number of remote users.
Responsible for the provision and maintenance of IT, communications, infrastructure services and equipment – ranging from new desktops/printers/phones to new servers, network services and equipment.
Responsible for liaising with the office building management over technical and mechanical matters.
Contribute to decisions on IT budgeting, as well as to forecasts and recommendations on IT Strategy.
