Stéphane Albert works (part-time; 80%) as a 3D virtual-reality software design and development engineer in the Simulation & Virtual-Reality department of DIGINEXT (CS group). He graduated from the university of Bordeaux in 2001 as multimedia IT engineer specialized in the 3D graphics and digital-audio fields. Before joining CS, he worked as the lead digital-audio software design engineer at Babylon Software – an independent video-game studio. For two years during this first job position, he designed and developed the cross-platform proprietary digital-audio middleware featuring real-time 3D HRTF and Dolby surround 5.1 Digital Signal Processing for racing simulations games on the Microsoft® Xbox™ and Sony PlayStation® 2 systems. He joined CS in 2003 to contribute to the design and development of embedded real-time 3D aeronautical Geographical Information Systems for several years. After that, he integrated the design and development the team working on Airbus Virtual Cockpits. Since 2010, Stéphane moved to DIGINEXT – Advanced Computing Systems, a company of the CS group, to work in the Maintenance Training Device team.
