Stéphane ODDOS

LYON

En résumé

Educated in both France and England, Stéphane holds a postgraduate degree in business and tax law (Strasbourg University) a LLM in International Economic Law (Warwick University) and a Master Degree in Islamic Finance (Strasbourg University).

Stéphane started his career at Lamy, Veron, Ribeyre & Associés in 2002, one of France’s major regional law firm, and then spent six years at CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, the law firm to be reckoned with when it comes to French Tax Law.

In June 2011 Stéphane joined Jars, Pappini & Associés, and left in February 2014 to found MAGNA GESTIO LYON.

He has been advising listed US, UK and GCC firms on major foreign direct investment operations in France, and is equally at ease with start-up businesses and SMEs.

Stéphane’s core competences are centered on mergers & acquisitions and private equity operations. With more than ten years of experience in these fields, Stéphane has set up, acquired, merged, split, sold and wound up dozens of companies for its clients, and assisted them in drafting shareholders agreements, joint ventures, business contracts, issuing securities, completing asset and share deals, and, more generally, expanding their businesses in a legally safe and tax optimized environment.

His deep knowledge of French business law has been widely used in promoting Islamic Finance in France for the past three years. Sukuk, Musharaka / Mudharaba, and Ijarah are its Fiqh legal forms of choice, although Stéphane has been known to implement Murabaha and Tawarruq schemes in specific contexts.
