I am a product manager working as a designer.
Or is it vice versa?
I became a product designer during four years of studies at École Boulle, a top French design school. I studied interaction design simultaneously at CNAM and at ENSCI Les Ateliers. Next, I mastered data visualization while working for seven months on a visualization tool at Alcatel-Lucent Labs in the R&D department. Finally, I became a product manager at Captain Dash.
My studies as my experiences have reinforced my creative thinking and my design-focused logic. I'm used to thinking outside of the box and globally at the same time as being organized and multidisciplinary, like a designer should be.
What's more, I'm tech-savvy, I love new technologies, I understand and can write code (HTML, JS, CSS, and Ruby on Rails), and I comprehend and can navigate development constraints, problems, possibilities, and potential.
Thanks to my time at Captain Dash in a B2B setting, I'm very aware of marketing and business dealings.
So being at the center of theses three domains, I am able to communicate with, understand, collaborate with and to gather together designers, engineers and marketers to help execute company's vision and ship the right product to users.
