    International space program between France and China (CFOSAT)

    Technical Manager of the instrument SWIM (Thales Alenia Space prime contractor under French Space Agency contract), a state-of-the-art radar subsystem that is the first ever space radar dedicated to the observation of ocean waves globally over the Earth.

    Responsible of the system requirements and the design of the radar instrument
    Responsible of the management of the development, the manufacturing and the tests of the instrument.
    Responsible of the performances of the radar with respect to mission requirements.
    Responsible of the interfaces between the instrument and the Chinese platform.

    Technical management of a team of more than 50 engineers working full-time on the program inside Thales Alenia Space.
    Technical management of subcontractors in England, Germany and France.
    Main technical interlocutor of the French Space Agency in name of the program.

    In close interface with Chinese platform development to ensure the fulfillment of the interfaces requirements.

    Responsible of the research and development activities performed in the frame of the program.

    Responsible of the technical aspects of the contract (definition, negotiation) and in main support of the Project Manager on the financial aspects (definition, negotiation) of the program contract.

    In charge of R&D activities for the definition and the lobbying of next generation of Earth observation radar instruments (swath altimetry, scatterometry, bathymetry).

    Work in partnership with the French Space Agency (2.5 years in Toulouse CNES facilities), the industry Alcatel Alenia Space and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (6 months spent in JPL facilities in Los Angeles, California)
  • NASA Center for Space Research - Engineer (Student)

    2003 - 2003 6 months internship at Austin, Texas
    Part of the team working on the NASA ICESAT laser altimeter, during the 6 months calibration/validation phase following the satellite launch.

    Responsible of the laser altimeter data first processing over the ocean and continental waters.
