Antoine MONSIFROT

Rennes

Linux
Secure coding
Code optimisation
Techniques d'isolation
Techniques d'apprentissage

Entreprises

  • Technicolor - Senior Scientist

Rennes (35000) 2016 - maintenant Research and technical area : Isolation techniques, IDS, elastic cloud
    * I study the security of virtualisation and containers techniques. ;
    * I investigate a solution to manage elasticity in a VCPE system using learning machine techniques.
  • Technicolor Security Laboratories - Senior Scientist

2006 - 2016 Research and technical area : software protection, secure coding, kernel hardening, trusted computing
    * I investigate new challenges and research directions in the field of software protection and in trusted
computing supervising master and Ph.D trainees. In particular, I have improved some software protection
techniques like integrity check, code ciphering or control flow graph flattening.
    * I worked on two collaborative research projects:
    i) TECOM project dealing with Trusted Embedded Computing, I participated in the design and
development of a secure player using an hypervisor done for embedded system: Xtratum.
ii) SecFutur dealing with security engineering process, I participated in the design of a security process
    framework tuned for STB context.
    Fields of application
    * I designed and implemented some protections to prevent reverse engineering of the ContentArmor
products running on MacOSX and iOS.
    * I designed and developed software protections for a Linux software licensing tool used for Datapump,
Bluefox, ContentAmor and more recently an HDR demonstration for the NAB.
    * I trained at least 200 Technicolor Connected Home developers to secure coding, software protection and
kernel hardening. These trainings took place in France, Belgium, USA and China.
    * I participated in various security meetings before and after sale for Orange STB project.
    * I specified Technicolor's requirements to configure Linux kernel in a secure way for STB and Gateways.
  • France Telecom - Independent Consultant

2005 - 2006 Research area: Use of software protection in set top box context
I wrote a study on the use of software protections in the STB context.
I designed and developed a prototype based on LLVM* compiler tool chain to apply anti disassembly
    protection.
    * LLVM is a collection of modular and reusable compiler and tool chain technologies
  • University of Auckland - Postdoctoral Researcher

    2003 - 2005 Research area: Code obfuscation
I wrote several publications in International Conferences and Journal. I developed some new code
obfuscation techniques and I studied a new method to evaluate the strength of some opaque predicates.
During this period, I have also been a member of the ICS2004 program committee (International
    Conference on Supercomputing).
