o Tracking of 100% costs (supplier quote vs. Valeo budgeted program cost - before prototype, before production tool kick-off). Worked towards attainment of Valeo financial requirements (gross margin, return on investment, etc).
o Supplier Production Preparation – RFQ Process, current vs. new suppliers, pre-quotation with first specifications and quality requirements, purchase order issuance (tooling), prototype parts, supplier program timing attainment, on-time PPAP submission, Technical & Development Meetings – coordination and reporting.
• Buyer for on-going industrial projects (P0 projects) – Direct Spending: 4 M€ - Commodity: Mechanical Parts.
o Yearly negotiations to obtain price decreases for supplier’s components in serial production => 5% index.
o Oversight of production transfer from German facility to Mexican facility & Resolution of quality and cost issues caused by this transfer.
o Freight cost assessment and renegotiation of freight contracts.
• MRO Buyer – Maintenance, Repairs & Operations Purchases.
o Placement of purchase orders, analysis of quotations, verification of delivery conformance and resolution of issues with suppliers.
o Routine purchase negotiations with suppliers to establish agreements and conditions governing purchases.
