  • Solvay Specialty Polymers (Shanghai) - Lead Process Engineer

    2012 - maintenant ◣ Responsible for the design and supervision of the Studies for a new Polymers plant in China (Upstream units and utilities),
    ◣ Part of the Operation Team responsible for the construction supervision, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of the whole plant,
    ◣ Follow-up of the operations, optimization and technical assistance after successful start-up of the plant.

  • RHODIA / SOLVAY (Lyon) - Ingenieur Procedes

    2008 - 2012 ◣ Responsible of the process studies for the debottlenecking of a Silica production plant located in China. Studies of Process and utilities, optimization of the process operation (batch vs continuous).
    ◣ In charge of the design of a grass-root unit for production a specific chemical product, dealing with severe operating conditions (hydrogen under high pressure). Detailed studies of the main piece of equipment of the section (hydrogenation reactor).
    ◣ Responsible for the design and definition of the overall utilities for a chemical complex involving sevral different units (steam production, distribution, chilled water, cooling water).
    ◣ Process engineer on a project targeting a new business for the company. Development of a biogas plant with utilisation of the biogas for production of electricity and heat.
    ◣ Process support for a project aiming at reducing the emission of greenhouse effect gases, under a J.I. structure. Also responsible to find an adjustment for the existing process and to contact the different catalyst suppliers to work in close partnership for the design.
    ◣ Process engineer on a critical project aiming at valorising existing raw materials while minimising the cost of processing hazardous waste. Design of an entire new process dealing with strict requirements (nuclear industry). Project leading to a cost saving of a few million euros for the plant.

    2007 - 2008 ◣ Mission for a world leader in flocculent synthesis as a Production engineer. Study and optimization suggestions for the process (new production line and existing ones), daily management of the production teams, reporting to the production director of the factory

  • Technip Shanghai (China) - Process Engineer

    2004 - 2007 ◣ Process support for the Ethylene Business Development on the Chinese Market: management of proposals for Ethylene plants. Responsibilities include process calculation and simulation, technical documentation for proposal, meetings with potential clients and partners, coordination between different offices of TECHNIP, management of a small team for the proposals.
    ◣ Process support for various projects involving major international clients in China including selection and sizing of equipment, meetings with suppliers and clients, supervision of a team of P&ID drafters, working in close partnership with various disciplines leaders and clients.
    ◣ Process Engineer for two HDPE projects for a major Chinese client. Implementation of a state of the art process for HDPE production within a multi-cultural team of engineers.
    ◣ Technical Coordination between Technip and a sub-contractor for a Water Treatment Unit project (1.5 Million €) involving an international client. Interface with the client and the sub-contractor, approval of design, clarifications.
    ◣ Lead Process Engineer on an industrial project (20 Million €) for an international client. Responsible for the design of the Process and the Utilities of the new plant. Follow-up of the project from the proposal stage to the commissioning phase (including basic and detailed designs).
    ◣ Responsible for several technical proposals (process side): estimation of manhours, definition of scope for the different phases of the projects.
