• Methodology of dynamic ventilatory mechanics at rest and during exercise: oesophageal balloon technique to assess the mechanics of breathing, lung compliance, inspiratory capacity manoeuvre to track changes in operating lung volumes, quantitative and qualitative analysis of tidal flow/volume loop, specific analysis of breathing pattern (Hey plot).
