“Describe the cracking mechanisms of nickel-based single crystal turbine blades”
- Understand how the TURBOMECA engines work, especially the ARRIEL 2 engine
- 2 days course about helicopters working
- Learn the methodology of investigation for damaged components
- Elaborate a global approach to enhance the understanding of cracking in operating conditions
- Design and carry out tests. Analyse results and discuss findings with a wide-range of specialists

Mechanical and metallurgical investigations
- Lead several investigations on damaged components from ARRIEL, MAKILA and ARRIUS engines
- Investigate turbine blades, sets of gear, carbon join, ARDIDEN 3 assembly tool
- Daily use of GEODE and SAP software application
- Liaise with experts from other departments, cross-functional discussions
- Autonomous on the investigation means (magnifying glass, optic & electronic microscopes, fractographic analysis on metallic components)
Establish a Knowledge Management document on high pressure turbine blades crack analysis
- Reference document about creep, fatigue, fretting and corrosion rupture analysis for single crystals turbine blades.

Rueil-Malmaison 2011 - 2011“Study on the rolling resistance of different tire tread compounds”
- Creation of a new testing protocol for the simulation of the road-tire contact
- Thermal and mechanical behaviour study with an infrared camera on the Metravib® device
Result: more realistic protocol which enable the reduction compound self-heating under test. Led to acquiring higher mechanical properties for the same compound compared to former protocol.
