PROFESSIONNAL BACKGROUND:

I joined Schneider Electric Global Purchasing organization early 2008 to lead all Purchasing Transformations Programs for 2 years, before being appointed since 2010 in the position of Senior Vice President - Non Production Purchases for Schneider Electric group overall, responsible for purchasing performance and organization of 4 billions €uros of non production purchases.

Previously in Schneider Electric I assumed in 2007 the position of Senior Vice President for Services & Projects Line of Business in the new IT Business of Schneider Electric with a P&L responsibility over 600M.US$. This new business unit of Schneider Electric was created with the merger of the 2 recent acquisitions of APC (2007) and MGE UPS Systems (2006) where I was holding the position of Senior Vice President for Europe & International with a P&L responsibility over 400M€.

French national and graduated from Reims Management School (France) with B.A. Honours from Enfield Business School (London - UK), I started my career as sales engineer and sales manager for companies involved in IT solutions (CII Honeywell Bull), trading of piping equipments (Trouvay & Cauvin) or building materials (Lambert Industries), mostly in Middle-East.

Then I joined Merlin Gerin to set up a subsidiary in Saudi Arabia in 1986. Merlin Gerin was later acquired by Schneider Electric, where I held different management positions in finance and sales, ending as Marketing Director for Middle East & India Zone, totalizing eventually more than 10 years of expatriation and 15 years of experience in Middle East.

I cumulated more than 30 years of international management experience in different fields of trading, international sales, large projects negotiations, marketing, services and purchasing.

  • Schneider Electric - Vice President Global Purchasing - Non Production

    Rueil Malmaison 2010 - maintenant Reporting directly to Schneider Electric Chief Purchasing Officer, leads the purchasing operations for all NPP (Non Production Purchases) of Schneider Electric group, representing about 25% of total group purchases ( i.e. ~ 2B€) covering around 20 major commodities global or regional.

    The Schneider Electric NPP business is organized in :
    - global commodities networks led by Global Commodity Directors reporting directly to the Vice President NPP
    - regional commodities networks led by Regional Commodity Managers reporting dotted line to the Vice President NPP and solid line to the Regional Purchasing VPs.

    Key responsibilities:
    - Define the NPP strategy and NPP organization, processes, methods and tools for Schneider Electric overall.
    - Secure that purchasing strategies and selection of Key suppliers for major commodities are consistent with group orientations
    - Secure the delivery of NPP performance in terms of competitiveness, productivity, services and business owners satisfaction (Country Presidents, Industrial Leaders & Functional Leaders)
    - Deploy leaner, simpler and more efficient NPP organisation & processes.
    - Develop the NPP leadership team

    Management :
    Direct : 10 persons in Global Commodity Management and projects leadership
    Functional: 150 persons in Regional Commodity Management and operational purchasing
