  2008 - 2009 My research topic was the study of a transcriptional regulator NikR of the pathogen bacteria Helicobacter pylori, involved in stomach cancer. This regulator is essential for the virulence of the bacteria and is activated by nickel available in the stomach. I identified new NikR target genes and I followed their expression to specify the role of NikR in bacteria pathogenicity. This study was a part of a collaboration with 2 research teams in Grenoble (ESRF and CEA).
  I also was in charge of the real-time PCR material and training.

  2007 - 2008 I studied the activation mechanism of the SigmaE factor by acid pH in Salmonella enterica sv. Thyphimurium. This factor allows the transcription initiation by RNA polymerase during heat stress, and is important for Salmonella survival in macrophages.
  I also managed the biochemical platform of the lab.

  2003 - 2006 I identified two-component systems involved in Enterococcus faecalis survival in macrophages and in virulence in mice. I determined the role of these regulatory systems in E. faecalis stress response.
  I also helped for student education by doing some lessons.

  2003 - 2003 I perfected RT-PCR experiments in Staphylococcus aureus.

  2001 - 2002 I had 2 training courses in the "Laboratoire de Microbiologie de l'Environnement" during 2001 and 2002 years. I studied the glycerol metabolism of a cider bacteria Lactobacillus collinoides, and I characterized a sigma factor involved in extracytoplasmic response of E. faecalis.
